Terms of Use
Effective date: October 12, 2026
These Terms govern your use of MioPrep (“the app”), provided by the MioPrep team (“we”). By using the app you agree to them. If you downloaded the app from the Apple App Store, Apple’s Licensed Application End User License Agreement also applies. If these Terms conflict with it, the Apple agreement prevails on iOS to the extent required.
1. Who can use MioPrep
You must be at least 18 years old. The app is a personal, non-commercial tool for planning your household’s meals. We grant you a limited, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable license to use it.
2. Not medical or nutrition advice
MioPrep is a planning tool. It provides general information only. It does not diagnose, treat, cure or prevent any condition, and it is not a substitute for a doctor or a dietitian. Diet styles in the app are general eating patterns. Nutrition numbers are estimates calculated from ingredient amounts. Talk to your doctor or dietitian before changing your diet, especially if you have a health condition.
3. Allergies
MioPrep filters recipes by their ingredients, using the allergens and foods you tell it to leave out. It cannot guarantee that a recipe, an ingredient or a product is free of an allergen. It does not know how a specific product was made or handled. Always read product labels and cross-contact warnings, and check every recipe before you cook it. You are responsible for what you buy, cook and serve.
4. Recipes, costs and other content
Recipes, plan changes and other content in the app are produced with automated tools, including AI models from third-party providers, and may contain mistakes. Check cooking times and temperatures, and cook food safely. Dish images are illustrations. Grocery costs are estimates shown as a range. Real prices depend on your store and the week, and we do not guarantee any total or any saving. Store types and store names in the app are there to help you plan. We are not affiliated with any retailer.
5. Accounts and households
You can use the planner on your phone without an account. Saving an account (Apple, Google or an email code) lets you sync devices and share with a household of up to 5 people. Keep your sign-in method secure. One sign-in works across our other apps. People in your household see the shared plan and list and can change them. Only invite people you trust. You can delete your account at any time in the app (You > Account > Delete account and data), and it is deleted right away, or by following Delete your account. Deleting your account does not cancel a subscription: cancel it in the App Store or Google Play first.
6. Subscriptions and purchases
- MioPrep requires a subscription. You choose a plan after the setup questions and before you see your first plan. There are two auto-renewing plans: weekly (billed every week) and annual (billed every year).
- The price and period are shown in the app before you buy, in your local currency. At launch they are: United States $4.99 per week or $34.99 per year. Canada C$6.99 per week or C$49.99 per year. Brazil R$ 14,90 per week or R$ 99,90 per year. The price shown by the store at purchase is the one that applies.
- The annual plan includes a 7-day free trial for eligible new subscribers. If you do not cancel at least 24 hours before the trial ends, your account is charged the annual price when the trial ends. The weekly plan has no free trial and is billed the day you subscribe.
- Payment is charged to your Apple ID or Google Play account when you confirm the purchase. Subscriptions renew automatically unless canceled at least 24 hours before the end of the current period. Your account is charged for renewal within 24 hours before the period ends.
- If you cancel, you keep access until the end of the period you already paid for. Cancel in the store, not by deleting the app or by email: only Apple or Google can stop the billing.
- Manage or cancel: on iPhone, Settings > your name > Subscriptions. On Android, Google Play > your profile > Payments and subscriptions > Subscriptions. The app also has a Manage subscription button in the You tab.
- One subscription gives access to the members of your household in the app, up to 5 people.
- We may change prices for new subscribers. If the price of your own subscription changes, the store will tell you in advance and you can cancel before it applies.
- Refunds are handled by the store you bought from, not by us. Apple: reportaproblem.apple.com. Google Play: your order history, then “Report a problem”. Your statutory consumer rights are not affected, for example the 7-day right of withdrawal for purchases made in Brazil (Consumer Defense Code, art. 49), which you exercise through the store.
- Restore purchases: on the plans screen, tap Restore Purchases, or use You > Restore purchases.
7. Acceptable use
Do not misuse the app: no unlawful content, no attempts to access other people’s data, no reverse engineering except where the law allows, no automated scraping, and no use of typed requests to produce harmful content or to share other people’s personal information.
8. Your content
You keep ownership of what you enter. You give us the license needed to store and process it to provide the service, as described in the Privacy Policy. A typed change request is sent to an AI service provider only after you allow it in the app. Recipes are stored in a library shared by all households and do not identify you.
9. Disclaimers and liability
The app is provided “as is”. To the extent permitted by law, we disclaim implied warranties and are not liable for indirect or consequential damages. Our total liability is limited to the amount you paid us in the 12 months before the claim. Nothing in these Terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law, or the rights you have as a consumer in your country.
10. Termination
We may suspend accounts that violate these Terms. You may stop using the app at any time.
11. Changes
We may update these Terms. We will tell you about material changes in the app. Continued use after the change means you accept it.
12. Law and contact
These Terms are governed by the laws of the place where the MioPrep team is established, without limiting the mandatory consumer rights you have in your country of residence. Contact: support@mioprep.com.
